La Fondation Avenir Jeunesse du Quebec
Description:
An educational fashion event in association with La Fondation Avenir Jeunesse du Quebec (FAJQ) will take place at Concordia University at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2008. La Fondation Avenir Jeunesse du Quebec is dedicated to improving the quality of life for Quebec’s youth. The funds raised are redistributed to various non-profit organizations whose only mission is the well-being of Quebec’s new generation by offering moral and psychological support as well as financial, medical and educational assistance. Six Quebec designers will display their spring/summer collection – Dinh Ba who was showcased at Fashion Week in Montreal, Mylene B, Anomal Design, BodyBag, Fairyesque by Nicole Picard and Sandrine Bissette. There will also be spring/summer collections from Bikini Village, Icebreaker and American Apparel. Performances by the group Chemistry along with Quebec chanteuse Olivia Fortier, Canadian World HipHop Champions Unatik and others surprise guests will round out the evening’s entertainment.
Tickets for the event are $20 each and although there may be some left at the door, it is advisable to purchase tickets in advance. The souvenir programme is also designed to raise funds through the financial support of our sponsors. Advertising space is still available until April 20th. Advertisement in the program will show your support for young people in difficulty to the 400 people attending the event.
