Terry Dimonte has returned to Montreal’s airwaves and he’s on Montreal’s Q92!
It’s a new live radio show he’s hosting during your noon hour. You can listen on 92.5fm or even at Q92fm.com. Terry’s been a long-time fixture on the Montreal radio scene and we are thrilled he’s joining Q92. In November 2007, Terry parted ways with CHOM after a nearly 25 year relationship with Standard Radio to join Corus Radio (Q92’s parent company) to do mornings at our sister FM radio station in Calgary, Q107. When we looked at the time zone difference (and using high-tech math deduction skills), we realized “Hey, you know what? When Terry gets done with his morning show in Calgary, it’s 10:00 there…and noon here. Think he’d like to do an extra hour of radio after his morning show, creating a brand new show for us on Q92? It would be a great way for Terry to stay in touch with Montreal and for his fans to stay connected with Terry…”
“He could play Q92 music, talk with listeners, maybe bring on a few guest co-hosts and other guests, catch up on what Montrealers are talking about for the day, and have a load of fun. All in a hour.”
“And give listeners easy access to communicate with him for instant feedback, like through a custom email address just for him: Terry@Q92fm.com.
“Plus, make it simple and fun to listen to during the lunch hour, wrapping it up in time to get back to work at 1:00”
“Brilliant!”
And that’s what led to the creation of the new Terry Dimonte Noon Hour Show on Montreal’s Q92
Yes, Terry is still in Calgary…but this is a live show where Montreal and the radio listeners of Montreal are the centre of the show. If Terry can’t live in Montreal, at least we can make him do some work in Montreal. But, as he says, “This isn’t work…this is fun. It gives me a chance to stay close with the friends that have listening over the years and it keeps me close to my home city. It’s also the only show of it’s kind in Canada and perhaps in North America, where a radio host can have a live morning show in one city followed immediately by another live show in another city during the noon hour. As I said, this is fun!”
Enjoy "lunch with Terry" weekdays from noon to 1pm in Montreal at 92.5fm as well as online at Q92fm.com.
